Amid the vibrant city of red flamboyant flowers, Pandora Center Hai Phong stands out as a modern architectural landmark where light and emotion converge. BFROS contributed to the project with a comprehensive lighting system, from façade lighting to interior spaces, creating an elegant, luxurious, and sophisticated visual identity. More than a large-scale convention and wedding venue, Pandora Center demonstrates the seamless integration of architectural artistry and the mastery of lighting design in Vietnam.

Project overview: Pandora Center Hai Phong

Pandora Center is strategically located within the Ho Sen – Cau Rao II urban area, Kenh Duong Ward, Le Chan District, Hai Phong City. The development comprises one basement and nine above-ground floors, with a total gross floor area of more than 18,000 m². Designed as a multifunctional venue, it accommodates weddings, conferences, exhibitions, and major events in the city.

With its contemporary architecture and impressive scale, Pandora Center has quickly become a prominent landmark in the heart of the “City of Red Flamboyant Flowers,” reflecting Hai Phong’s dynamic spirit and growing stature in a new era of development.

Design inspiration – Where architecture meets light

The name “Pandora” draws inspiration from Greek mythology, symbolizing faith, hope, and new beginnings. This spirit is expressed throughout the architecture: simplified yet powerful forms, with elegant yet robust lines. Without relying on ornate details, Pandora Center achieves a sophisticated aesthetic through a contemporary design language complemented by the refined lighting design delivered by BFRO.

Architecture by day – Contemporary elegance

From an architectural perspective, Pandora Center is a representative example of Modern Architecture, where strong geometric forms and clean lines define the overall design language.

Architectural form

The building is composed of clearly defined geometric volumes with balanced proportions, creating a sense of solidity and presence. The combination of box-like forms and expansive façades creates continuity and strength throughout the architectural composition.

Materials and façade

The façade combines reflective glass with decorative aluminium fins, enhancing the building’s contemporary character while optimizing natural daylight. The glass expands outward views and reflects the surrounding landscape, allowing the building to become a harmonious element within the evolving urban fabric of the Ho Sen – Cau Rao II area.

Grand lobby

Upon entering the grand lobby, visitors are welcomed by a spacious, high-ceilinged environment, with carefully calculated lighting emphasizing the central visual axis. The combination of premium decorative lighting and refined finishes—including stone, plated metal, and transparent glass—creates a strong visual impression from the very first moment.

Pandora Center façade lighting – A language of light after dark

For BFROS, light is more than a means of illumination; it is an artistic language that brings architecture to life and evokes emotion. While Pandora Center makes a strong impression through its contemporary architectural forms by day, it truly comes alive after dark through the façade lighting design delivered by BFROS, transforming the building into a new urban landmark of light

From a lighting design perspective, the façade lighting system was carefully developed to complement and reinforce the building’s contemporary architectural language:

• Multicolour RGB lighting: Integrated with DMX control technology, enabling flexible colour changes according to different lighting scenes—from festive occasions and international events to major cultural celebrations in the city.
• Illuminance and glare control: Light levels are carefully distributed and controlled to create a sophisticated and visually striking effect without causing discomfort to viewers.
• Sustainable lighting solution: The system uses international-standard LED luminaires with IP66 protection against water and dust, ensuring reliable operation under Hai Phong’s varied weather conditions.
• Through the harmonious integration of lighting technology and artistic design, Pandora Center’s façade becomes a dynamic “stage of light” after dark—enhancing the architectural character while creating a memorable visual experience for the community.

Outdoor LED display – A striking visual focal point

Alongside the façade lighting system, one of the most prominent features of Pandora Center is the large-format LED display installed on the building’s frontage. Positioned in a prime location facing the main thoroughfare of the Ho Sen – Cau Rao II urban area, the screen serves as a major visual focal point.

The LED display, installed by BFROS, is designed to international standards, offering high resolution, high brightness for clear visibility even in strong daylight, a wide viewing angle, energy-efficient LED technology, and long-term durability in Hai Phong’s climatic conditions.

The display serves a wide range of functions, including showing videos from events, conferences, and weddings taking place inside the venue; supporting brand campaigns and partner communications; live streaming; and presenting dynamic lighting effects. This transforms the building façade into an open stage in the heart of the city. Combined with the vibrant façade lighting, Pandora Center becomes a distinctive destination for light and visual experiences in Hai Phong.

Interior lighting – Where architecture and light converge

Hera & Athena Ballrooms – International-scale event spaces

Located at the heart of the building, the Hera and Athena ballrooms are the centerpiece of Pandora Center. With a combined capacity of more than 1,300 guests, they are among the largest conference and wedding venues in Hai Phong, designed to accommodate events at national and international standards.

The two ballrooms feature an elegant architectural language that combines classical European aesthetics with modern functionality. Their interior lighting systems are implemented as an integrated and refined solution:

• Premium crystal chandeliers are positioned at the centre of the ceiling, creating a luxurious and iconic focal point.
• Recessed luminaires are arranged according to a carefully planned lighting grid, providing uniform illumination while minimizing glare.
• Stage lighting systems—including moving heads, LED spotlights, and wall washers—are integrated with DMX control technology, allowing lighting effects to be customized for different event scenarios.

This combination not only fulfills technical requirements but also creates an emotionally engaging atmosphere, turning every event into a complete and memorable experience.

Ground-floor foyer – An elegant arrival experience

Upon entering Pandora Center, guests are welcomed by the ground-floor foyer—the “emotional gateway” to the entire building. Here, BFROS directly delivered the installation of the premium decorative lighting system. Warm-toned lighting is combined with luxurious interior materials such as marble, gold-plated metal, and glass, creating an atmosphere that is both contemporary and inviting.

Beyond its functional role, the lighting transforms the foyer into an ideal photo and check-in space, where guests can capture memorable moments before entering their special events. It also reflects BFROS’s philosophy that light is not simply something to see, but something to experience.

Conclusion – Pandora Center, a new landmark of light in the Port City

Since opening, Pandora Center Hai Phong has become a new landmark of the city—a modern venue for events, conferences, and weddings and one of the most prominent developments of its kind in Northern Vietnam. Through BFROS’s expertise and dedication, the project shines not only visually but also emotionally. Every luminaire and every pool of light at Pandora tells a story—a story of artistry, refinement, and the ambition of a Vietnamese brand to reach new heights in premium lighting design.
